His ‘To Whomsoever It May Concern’ posts do mean a lot. Ever since his friend Gauri Lankesh’s assassination in the Congress-ruled Karnataka, Prakash Raj has never failed to question the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath. Only a political person can have such a knack for misplaced outrage.
On Monday, the actor said that he is ready to join politics if someone were to challenge him. It’s not known who that someone is. A BJP legislator? A Bajrang Dal activist? Or a faceless right-winger on Twitter?
Karnataka, his home state, will go to polls in April-May this year. Only time will tell whether Prakash Raj will contest on the ticket of a “secular” party or as an independent.
