Bharat Ratna, Former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee died
Founder of BJP, Former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee is died due to age-related problems. Mr. Vajpayee has admitted to the hospital post his health deteriorated on 11th June, AIIMS Delhi.
Mr. Vajpayee is the first non-Indian National Congress Prime Minister who served for five years. He is India’ 10th Prime Minister. He served three times as Prime Minister of India, 13 days in 1996, eleven months(1998-99), and third term in 1999-2004. Later he quit active politics due to health issues.
Mr. Vajpayee is born on 25th December 1924 to Krishna Devi and Krishna Bihari Vajpayee. He completed his schooling from Saraswati Shishu Mandir and college from Victoria College( at present Laxmi Bai College) and graduated with distinction in Hindi, English, and Sanskrit. Atal Bihari Vajpayee completed post graduation in M.A. in Political Science from DAV College Kanpur with a first class degree.
India’ first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru predicted Atal Bihari Vajpayee definitely become the Prime Minister of India one day post witnessing his great oratory skills in early of his career. He is arrested during Quit India Movement. He is great a writer and poet too. Mr. Vajpayee has put India on top with his greatest administrative skills and bold decisions.
Under his leadership, India successfully completed nuclear tests at Pokhran, which are popular as Pokhran II. Earlier India conducted its first nuclear test in 1974(Smiling Buddha). The victory of the Kargil War, opening road service between Delhi-Lahore to bring peace in South Asia etc.,
As a Prime Minister of India, he brought many economic reforms too. Roads to every village and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyaan are all his schemes. He is one of the few in India who 10 times elected as MP. He elected from Lucknow, UP. He is the founder of BJP along with LK Advani and Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in 1980 and served as first BJP President.
For his great services, PM Narendra Modi' honored him with India' highest honor 'Bharat Ratna' in 2014 and declared his birthday as 'Good Governance Day(25th December)'.
