Brahmanandam goes mute
The silence of Brahmanandam. This very phrase should remind us of the everlasting comedy 'Vinodam'. The SV Krishna Reddy film remains one of the best comedies in Brahmi's career. He entertained the audience without uttering a single word in the movie.
Perhaps inspired by that film, Kalyan Krishna wrote a mute role for the star comedian in 'Nela Ticket'. Except for 'Auna' (which he says just once), he has no other line in the movie. However, in terms of laughter value, the role is a letdown. Brahmi plays a flirt who pines for women in the street. The comedy is almost cheap!
Brahmi has played the role when he needed to reinvent himself badly. But definitely 'Nela Ticket' will not help him.
