Chiru invokes Pawan Kalyan's film emotionally

Speaking at Sunday's success meet of 'Geetha Govindam', Chiranjeevi shared a conversation he had with Allu Aravind days before the film's release.

"Allu Aravind garu was worried about the fact that 90 minutes of content of the film got leaked.  To calm him down, I spoke of how 'Attarentiki Daredi' too had a similar fate some years ago.  But when the film released, it became a big hit.  I asked Aravind garu to view it sentimentally," the Megastar said, much to the glee of Power Star's fans.

The 'Sye Raa' actor was very bullish about Vijay Deverakonda.  "This guy is already a star.  What a transformation from 'Arjun Reddy'!  In that film, he was very aggressive.  But in 'Geetha Govindam', he is soft, sober and begs the heroine for forgival," Chiru said.

Chiru went to the extent of comparing this success of Deverakonda's film to what he had achieved with 'Vijetha' in the 1980s.  "When I did 'Vijetha' for Geetha Arts, I was known for action films.  We had our doubts as to whether audiences will accept me in such a family man's role.  But they did," he noted.
