COVID-19: WHO chief Tedros should be kicked out
WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus is coming in for much censure for allegedly allowing the Chinese propaganda to aggravate the deleterious effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Quoting a report published by an international publication, geostrategic expert Brahma Chellaney says, "The WHO chief "helped China to play down the severity, prevalence and scope of the COVID-19 outbreak." And when countries like U.S. and India banned travel to or from China, he said that could increase "fear and stigma, with little public-health benefit.”."
On January 11, the official Twitter handle of WHO said this: "WHO does not recommend any specific health measures for travellers to and from Wuhan, China. It is generally considered that entry screening offers little benefit, while requiring considerable resource."
What is worse, at one point, the WHO even believed that human-to-human transmission of COVID-19 is impossible.
Had the WHO woken up early on, the catastrophe could perhaps have been avoided. Countries like India might have banned international commercial flights. What a colossal failure!
