Deverakonda posts cool 'dedication message'
Days after 'Geetha Govindam' grossed more than one billion rupees, Vijay Deverakonda took to Twitter to put out an irreverent message in his style. He started with cricketers' famous phrase of 'The boys played well', referring to the team behind the blockbuster.
"The boys played well. I would like to dedicate my first century to my coaching staff - Geetha Arts, my captain Bujji (Parusuram) and Rashmika Mandanna for the lovely partnership. And the amazing crowd. The Telugu crowd, The Tamil crowd, The Kannada crowd and The Malayali crowd. Amazing!" he said.
Deverakonda, who awaits the release of 'Taxiwala' and 'NOTA' later this year, is consciously promoting himself as a pan-South Indian star. That's why the reference to the non-Telugu crowds in the tweet.
