Donald Trump declares National Emergency, Huawei says it is only harmful to US companies and consumers
On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump passed an executive order declaring the National economic emergency. Under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, Mr. Trump invoked this on Telecommunications and Technology, which means the US companies has to take the government permission either to import or export their technological goods from other countries.
This decision is taken by the US government as using foreign telecoms believed to pose threats like Cyber Espionage, Sabotage to the national security. With this executive order, the US government bans technology from foreign adversaries.
Despite the government didn't mention any company name, it is taken to put a check to the Chinese tech giant, 'Huawei'. Over this Huawei made a statement that banning their company is harm to US companies and consumers as per The Guardian.
