Hindus a minority in India: Amartya Sen
In a shocking display of confusion, prominent welfare economist Amartya Sen has spoken ridiculously, saying that Hindus are a minority in India if the society were to be divided into Hindus and Muslims.
After saying the above words, he went on to contradict himself. "People who are not minorities cannot pretend to be one. In 2014, the BJP won in the Parliament with 55 percent seats but managed to obtain this with just 31 percent votes," Sen was quoted as saying by a magazine.
Even his supporters are unable to decode the bewilderingly confusing statements by Sen. He had recently ranted that India has been taking a leap backwards since 2014. When a NITI Ayog economist debated him, Sen couldn't offer facts to support his own contention.
