Indian Cos. to sell Viagra to US men at cheapest prices

In what may be called a golden chance for the Indian generic medicine story, generic versions of Viagra will be produced by at least seven Indian companies from 2020 at cheapest prices.

The pharma company Pfizer, which hold patent now,  is set to lose its hold over patent in 2020 to produce Viagra  Fifteen companies worldwide have been granted approval by US Food and Drug Administration to produce sildenafil citrate, the formulation patented as Viagra, The Print reported.

So cheap that you won't believe how cheap it's going to be for Americans, who will now be freed of the hold of Pfizer's Viagra.  Where they have had to pay Rs. 100 for one libido-boosting pill, they will now pay just Rs. 1.  That's what the Indian companies are going to do.

US FDA has already permitted 7 Indian companies to make Viagra-type products.  Rubicon Research, Hetero Drugs, Macleods Pharma, Dr.Reddy’s, Aurobindo Pharma, and two other companies are going to vie for the large erectile dysfunction market in the US!
