Kalaingar, DMK Chief Muthuvel Karunanidhi is no more

DMK Chief, Karunanidhi who has been suffering from age-related problems and urinary tract infection has left his last breath today. Muthuvel Karunanidhi who was born in 1924 has served as Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for five different terms in the period between 1969-2011.

Mr. Karunanidhi was popular among masses with Dravidian movement. Before he entered into politics, he worked as the screenwriter in Tamil Film Industry. He was a Popular Film Writer and it was no exaggeration, in a year, nearly 5-8 films of him released at the box office at that time. He was an amazing writer.

He has three wives namely Padmavathi Ammal, Dayalu Ammal, Rajathi Ammal and has six children namely MK Muthu, MK Alagiri, MK Stalin, MK Selvi and MK Kanimozhi.
Muthuvel Karunanidhi’ place in Tamil Nadu politics is irreplaceable. An era ended up with the sunset of Karunanidhi in TN Politics.
