Kashmiri terrorists have bad days ahead?
With the fall of the Mehbooba Mufti government following the BJP's severance of ties with the PDP, Kashmir is now ruled by its Governor, NN Vohra.
With no political pressure likely to be there with the exit of the PDP, a party that is "soft on separatists and terrorists", Governor NN Vohra has asked the security forces to "end terror without worrying about any political hindrance in Jammu and Kashmir".
This has calmed those sections of citizens across the country who were vexed with the Modi government's Kashmir policy.
What is going on in Pakistan's head? "Pakistan has lost a valuable friend in Mehbooba Mufti in Kashmir along with much leverage. It will respond with more terror attacks and LoC violations," says a political commentator. How should the Centre act? "It should give Indian army a free hand in counter-terror ops. Stone pelters already feeling the heat with protective cover gone," he adds.
