Lingayat jolt to BJP
Both BJP and Congress have wrapped up their final campaign yesterday with a sheer confidence of reigning Karnataka. During the campaigning, both the parties vilified by highlighting each other’s loopholes.
Both the parties strongly uttered themselves as the reformers of Karnataka by unfolding their manifesto. Mr. Rahul Gandhi claimed of BJP Karnataka has copied half of their manifesto. How far truth in them is either known to Congress or BJP. One thing is sure some of the schemes in BJP manifesto are copied from Telangana government’.
As per the latest reports, the confident BJP has got a huge jolt from Lingayat community. The Lingayat community which claimed BJP is dividing them has urged all their people to vote for Congress. In the past, CM Siddharamaiah has accepted the plea of Lingayat community to consider as the separate religion.
Besides Siddharamaiah’s then decision of Lingayat community as a separate religion followed by BS Yeddyurappa and BJP’s comments at the time of their protests have now come in favor of Congress. Today, the main head of Lingayat urged their people to vote for Siddharamaiah.
In Karnataka, 17% of Lingayat population hold sway in about 90 seats. The Lingayat body releases half Ad in the main pages of all newspapers urging their community voters to back Congress. And also they disclosed how PM Modi and Amit Shah has treated their plea of considering their community as a separate religion and the minority tag, Lollipop comments of BJP National Heads in the past.
