Naresh hits out at Shivaji Raja
Hours after MAA President Shivaji Raja said in a press meet on Monday that he is innocent and that he never misappropriated even a single paisa from MAA's fund-raising event in the US recently, MAA General Secretary Naresh briefed the press and stated that those who have nothing to hide should agree to his proposal that a fact-finding committee be constituted to probe into the alleged irregularities.
"When I a moved a resolution to that effect recent, the proposal was run down. Why was it done?" Naresh asked. Shivaji Raja had noted that he would tonsure his head if proven guilty. "I wouldn't indulge in such kiddish talk. Let's be fair and square. Let's for a high-powered committee comprising of retired IAS officers and judges. This is public money and the government too must step in," Naresh said.
Naresh clarified that he wouldn't raise any objections to the upcoming Mahesh Babu event. The proceeds of such high-profile events will go into funding the construction of a grand building for MAA.
