Finance Minister trolled for a 'strange move'
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been trolled heavily ever since the July 5th budget, post which she has been seen as a "collector of taxes". No moves to boost capital and investment have been taken, lament her trenchant critics. Some have started to mock her so much that they are now "missing Arun Jaitley". When Jaitley was the Finance Minister, he used to be criticized for not being bold enough to undertake game-changing reforms. Back then, they were rooting for Dr. Subramanian Swamy!
Sitharaman has stunned her critics, once again. Her Ministry has sought "ideas from branches of Public Sector Banks on how to make India a $ 5 trillion economy" by 2025. "This is nothing but comic relief," says @indiaspeaksPR.
The first full-time woman FM should take pro-market and pro-capital steps instead of taking regressive measures. There are so much fine ideas floating around already!
