NRC Assam Final Draft Out: Here are 5 ways to check your name

Today, the NRC Assam second and final draft is released in Guhawati at 10 AM by Joint PC By Registrar General & State Coordinator NRC. Out of 3,29,91,384 applicants, 2,89,83,677 people are found eligible and are included in this draft.

Later addressing the media, NRC alleged that everyone whose name is not in the second and final draft will be given an ample opportunity to file their claim. And no need to panic, if you’re genuine Indian.

Today's list is an NRC  draft and should be treated like one. Nobody will be taken to the Foreigners' Tribunal or detention centre on the basis of this draft. Every person whose name is in the first draft but not there in this final draft will be given an individual letter to file a claim for her/his non-inclusion during Claims and Objections.

The applicants, who do not find their names in the complete draft of NRC can submit their claim & objection forms between August 30 and September 28.
