Officer's symbolism puzzles audience
'Officer' is out. While we have to wait for the box-office verdict, there are one bewildering thing about the film.
In one of the scenes, worried parents of cop Shivaji Rao (Nagarjuna) are talking to their son. They are petrified that he is on a dangerous mission in Mumbai. They fear for his life and ask him to come back to Hyderabad. Seen on the table in front of them are a tomato and a few empty glasses on either side. What kind of symbolism is this?
It seems the tomato represents Shivaji Rao who is vulnerable to be attacked by villains (glasses which can crush the tomato) from either side. On the one side is Pasare (Anwar Khan) from his own department. On the other side are those in the police department who misunderstand him.
