Official: Mamata Banerjee is not attending Modi' swearing-in due to BJP' false allegations on her government
West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee has released an official note stating why she has earlier accepted the invitation and wanted to attend the oath taking ceremony of Narendra Modi as PM and now why she is not attending it.
In her statement, Didi clearly mentioned that she is not attending the swearing-in ceremony because of the false allegations made by BJP as 54 people have been murdered in Bengal in political violence. She also reported that whatever the murders had happened because of some personal enmity, family issues, etc., not political murders.
These allegations made Mamata Banerjee compelled her not to attend the oath taking ceremony and end the note with 'Please excuse me'.
The oath-taking ceremony is an august occasion to celebrate democracy, not one that should be devalued by any political party pic.twitter.com/Mznq0xN11Q— Mamata Banerjee (@MamataOfficial) May 29, 2019
