People have no faith in banking system: Naidu
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday said that he had supported Demonetization in 2016 as he believed it will do good. However, due to Centre's policies, banks are going insolvent, the TDP supremo claimed.
"I supported Demonetization. I thought it would be good for the economy. But because of centre, banks are going insolvent. People have lost faith in the banking system. We have never seen such shortage of currency," Naidu said.
"We have come out of NDA as a response to the injustice done to the state. There is no need to worry or be afraid. Let us step ahead with self-respect, self-confidence and with the spirit of NT Rama Rao," he said at the TDP's Mahanadu in Vijayawada.
He once again asserted that regional parties will finish the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections. "In 2019, the regional parties will be king-makers. All regional parties are coming together to defeat BJP. In upcoming Lok Sabha elections, BJP will taste defeat," the estranged ex-NDA ally said.
