Propaganda comes to bite BJP
With BS Yeddyurappa claiming that he has the required numbers to form the government in Karnataka, horse-trading has begun. As per some rumours, the saffron party is buying MLAs from Congress and JDS for Rs. 100 crores each. There is nothing to prove this wild number but the propaganda is biting the saffron party hard.
"With the 'mining mafia' on its side, the BJP appears intent on orchestrating an "Operation Kamala" redux in Karnataka. This brazen tactic of capturing power is a travesty of democracy," the Congress today said, captioning its tweet with #BJPChor100Crore.
At a time when the role of the Karnataka Governor, a former BJP man, has been called into question, former Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has said, "Guv is obliged to call largest party, which is BJP. He should call BJP leader asking him if he can form govt. If he says he can't, Guv will then call 2nd party & if he says he can form govt, Guv should give him time to prove majority."
