Rahul Gandhi drags BJP into 'Sacred' controversy
As was reported recently, 'Sacred Games', the Netflix original series, has angered some Congressmen because one of its characters calls Rajiv Gandhi a 'Fattu', meaning either 'wimp' or 'pu$$y' (as per the makers' official translation).
Congress President Rahul Gandhi has said that his party stands for freedom of expression. "BJP/RSS believe the freedom of expression must be policed & controlled. I believe this freedom is a fundamental democratic right," Rahul noted.
He added, "My father lived and died in the service of India. The views of a character on a fictional web series can never change that."
It's too smart of the Congress leader to drag the Sangh Parivar into the controversy. After all, it's some Congressmen who have a problem with the series, not the BJP.
