Rajinikanth's flop director can do this
'Kaala' is one of the biggest disasters ever. Even those who are talking about its collections are doing only with respect to Chennai City's gross. In the Telugu States, the June 7th release has proved that Rajinikanth can deliver a flop worse than even 'Lingaa'.
Credit goes to director Pa. Ranjith for this astounding feat. He had done an alternative reading of Ramayana in 'Kaala'. It seems he should now do an alternative reading of Balance Sheet. In this non-traditional reading of accountancy, Profit is Loss and Loss is the real Profit, just as Ravana is a hero and Rama is not at all virtuous, as evidently suggested in the ideological climax of 'Kaala'.
The film's failure proves that subtext and symbolisms should never overshadow the actual drama and heroism when a big star like Rajini is around.
