Hero Nithin needs to score a hit at the box office at any cost. So, playing a sage game, he has chosen a romantic drama called Chal Mohan Ranga which has arrived in the theaters now. Read on to see how the film turns out to be. Story: Mohan Ranga's only aim is to land in the US and find his childhood sweetheart Megha played by Megha Akash. He arrives in the USA and the meets the girl of his dreams and even be friends with her. This is also the time when both the lead pair starts developing a feeling for each other. But destiny plays a spoilsport and Megha returns to India without any notice. Left with no choice, Mohan Rao also follows her back. But there are a few misunderstandings which have been aroused between the lead pair. The crux of the story is as to how Mohan Rao clears all hurdles and becomes successful in his love life. Performances Nithin is the only savior of the film as his comedy works for the major part of the film. The way he has gone about his role and brings and creates a joyful mood is nice. His character does not have the necessary emotions and this is the reason he cannot do much. Heroine Megha Akash is good in the first half but when it comes to portraying serious emotions in the second half, she falls short of expectations. Rao Ramesh is good in his role as always.Narra is good as the funny doctor. Madhu as Nithin's friend was decent. Technicalities: Thaman saves the show for the most part as his music is quite soothing to the ears. If not for his good songs, things would have become even more disappointing. Director Krishna Chaitanya does a half-baked job with his narration as the story by Trivikram has nothing in it. There is no interesting emotion or fight that is caused by the lead pair to break up in the first place. The only savior by the director is that he adds a good amount of comedy in the first half. But when it comes to the later part, the film loses its steam completely. Production design is good as the film looks quite rich in its nature. What clicks: Nithin Some Comedy What Flops Weak Story Bland second half Lack of emotions Overall analysis: Love stories have basically one and the same story most of the time but it is the manner in which they are narrated in an entertaining manner which clicks with the audience. But sadly for Chal Mohan Ranga, there is no romance as the story and chemistry between the lead pair is weak. The film has some comedy sprinkled here and there and that is the sole reason for you to give this film a chance otherwise there is nothing new in this film.
