SCS not an election issue: Survey
A polling agency recently found out that the majority of Andhra Pradesh's voters don't see Special Category Status becoming a crucial election issue in 2019. "Contrary to popular opinion, just 26% of voters in Seemandhra think the special status issue will be an election issue next year," VDP Associates has said.
Let it be said that this 26% is very low, considering that elections are still a year away. If the trend is anything to go by, this percentage is going to drop further as time progresses.
It's surprising that SCS is not going to be an overriding issue. It's felt that all major political parties will recalibrate their strategies ahead of the 2019 polls keeping the public mood in mind.
