Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin not to contest elections
Noor Jahan, better known in India as Shah Rukh Khan’s cousin, is a citizen of Pakistan. She had filed a nomination to contest in her country's upcoming Parliamentary elections. But most recently, Noor withdrew her nomination papers from the PK-77 constituency of the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa assembly segment.
This withdrawal came after the Awami National Party requested her not to contest the polls. Noor's ancestors were associated with freedom fighter Ghaffar Khan, who is known as the Frontier Gandhi in Indian history books.
The lady believes in fighting for women's causes. She is happy that Awami party's elders have assured her of their support in future.
