Shocker! VG Siddhartha is no more
Cafe Coffee Day founder VG Siddhartha was found dead on Wednesday morning near Mangalore. His family members are shell-shocked. Visuals of his dead body have been insensitively aired by sections of electronic media, much to the disgust of many.
VGS's fate has triggered much outcry, especially among those who want the Indian state to become more liberal in creating the "right environment for businesses" to flourish.
Meanwhile, the Income-Tax Department has reacted to the allegations that a former Director-General "harassed" VG for many months. "A note said to be written by VGS is doing rounds, attachment of Cafe Coffee Day share by I-T Dept was mentioned. The authenticity of note isn't known and the signature doesn't tally with VGS's signature as available in his annual report. The investigation in the case of VGS and CCD arose from search in the case of a prominent political leader of Karnataka. It's based on the unearthing of credible evidence of financial transactions done by CCD in a concealed manner," the IT department said.
