Short Review: John Abraham’ Satyameva Jayate is sheer mass
Actor John Abraham and debutant director Milap Zaveri’ Satyameva Jayate has released across the globe on the eve of Independence Day. Satyameva Jayate is a common man’ war on the corrupted police. How a badly hurt common man(Veer) revolted against Police? Why?
To stop Veer(John Abraham), DCP Shivansh Rathod(Manoj Bajpayee) is given the charge. And it is quite common, the challenges between Veer and Shivansh Rathod. Later what happened is the story of Satyameva Jayate. Amidst there is a tale of romance between Veer and Shika(Aisha Sharma).
Satyameva Jayate is a pure mass action entertainer. The director Milap Zaveri has written some wonderful episodes in this routine outdated action entertainer which keeps the audience engaged. Especially, the Namaaz sequence, interval block, and the Hospital episode are highlights of the film.
The director didn’t show any novelty and repeated the way the lead actor kills the cops. The dialogues of the film are whistle worthy. Satyameva Jayate is an outdated action drama but executed in an intense and captivating way. The film has the major scope to perform in mass circuits. The songs, production design are okay.
John Abraham and Manoj Bajpayee have done justification for their roles. Despite Aisha Sharma made a confident debut, there is nothing for her to excel. Satyameva Jayate has powerful action and dialogues with some captivating plot.
