Taapsee accused of playing Muslim victimhood
Taapsee Pannu awaits the release of her Hindi film 'Mulk' on August 3. Ahead of its release, in a tweet, the actress shared a poster which says that 12 percent of non-Muslims have jokingly called their Muslim friends Pakistani at least once. "These numbers have a lot to say," Taapsee said.
As soon as she made the tweet, several social media users started asking her for proof. "Which survey says this?" a number of users questioned.
"Dear Taapsee, if your film 'Mulk' is well made and the content is strong, then it will surely work at the BO. Please don't indulge in creating a divide in society and among Hindus and Muslims to make your film commercially HIT," a trade analyst told her.
