Trivikram does a volte-face and how!
Filmmakers have a peculiar way of analyzing failures. Why did 'Agnyaathavaasi' fail? Trivikram Srinivas gives an elucidation.
He says that the film flopped because the audience couldn't relate to the corporate rivalries in the film. "Who would be interested in the story of a Mukesh Ambani and his two sons? People would have understood had I told them the story of a King and his kingdom," the director ponders.
Then why on earth did the makers say before its release that 'Agnyaathavaasi' is a universal story? Whatever may be the backdrop, Pawan Kalyan's character fights for his father's legacy as wished by his stepmom (played by Kushboo). This should have been emotional. Trivikram made it a mockery. The film flopped. Period.
