We are prepared for any eventuality: KCR
Amid some extreme fears that COVID-19 might spread more in Hyderabad, Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has assured that the administration is prepared for any eventuality.
"We will be putting in place adequate infrastructure that can accommodate 11,000 patients with not-so-serious symptoms. About 1,400 ICU beds shall be arranged at Gachibowli Stadium. About 500 ventilators have been ordered. The health system is capable of managing 50,000 positive cases," KCR said.
The TRS supremo said that the Centre has assured adequate assitance. "We will also need to borrow Rs 35,000 Cr from the RBI," he added.
