Women's Commission wants MP to pay for sexist remarks

Two days ago, SP MP Azam Khan sparked a row by making a sexist remark in Lok Sabha. “Aap mujhe itni acchi lagti hain ki mera mann karta hai ki aap ki aankhon mein aankhein dale rahoon," he said to the female Deputy Speaker of the House.

This led to verbal protestations from several MPs, including a couple of Ministers.  Following the outcry in and outside the Parliament, the Chairperson of the Bihar Women Commission has said that they have taken cognizance of the incident.  "We will request the Lok Sabha Speaker to take action against him. A member of parliament who can't respect women is not worthy of being in the Parliament," he said.

Soon after making the offensive remark, Khan had said that the DS is like his sister.
