After much drama in the run up to the polls, Aam Admi Party has successfully trumped the BJP and the Congress in Assembly polls by winning 56 seats. Out of 70, the saffron party has won just 14.
Arvind Kejriwal will be the Chief Minister for a second term. Unless he resigns to focus on Punjab, he will be the CM for the next five years.
Reacting to the verdict, former cricketer and BJP MP Gautam Gambhir said, "We accept the verdict and congratulate Kejriwal and the people of Delhi. We tried our best but, probably, we could not convince the people of the state."
Curiously, Congress leader and Punjab Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot said that their party, which has won zero seats, hasn't been defeated. "We were zero earlier also and this time too we are zero," he said.
