Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday alleged that the RSS and BJP forces created the Aam Admi Party with the aim of subverting democracy. The Congress leader made the remarks plugging a report that quoted lawyer Prashant Bhushan as saying that the India Against Corruption movement was propped up by the Sangh Parivar. In a recent interview, Bhushan said that Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal were supported by the RSS and BJP.
"What was known to us has been confirmed by a founding AAP member (referring to Bhushan). The IAC movement and the AAP were propped up by the RSS/BJP to subvert democracy and bring down the UPA government," RaGa tweeted out.
This is not the first time that the Congress party has made such a suggestion. Curiously, the BJP, too, has said in the past that the AAP was propped up by the Congress party to affect Narendra Modi's chances in the 2014 elections.
