'Alludu Adhurs', which hit the cinemas on January 14, has been said to be a flop by box-office reports. However, Bellamkonda Suresh has claimed that the film, starring his son Sai Srinivas as the hero, is a hit.
"The producers had made the film on a budget of Rs 32 Cr. They earned Rs 21 Cr by way of satellite and other non-theatrical rights. In three days, the movie earned a share of Rs 10 Cr at the box-office. From Day 4, whatever it earns by way of theatrical collections is going to be counted as profit," Suresh said.
The comedy entertainer, directed by Santosh Srinivas, has been distributed in Vizag and Nizam by Sirish and Dil Raju, respectively. It was on the insistence of these and other distributors that the producers of the movie advanced its release date. If they are to be believed, the gamble paid off despite a stiff competition from 'RED', 'Master' and 'Krack'.
