AP Panchayat Polls halted in Guntur
The third phase of panchayat elections is going on smoothly in Guntur district, Andhra Pradesh. Except for sporadic incidents, the polling is going on peacefully. However, the officials found mistakes in ballot papers of Madugula village, Gurjala Mandal, guntur district.
The authorities found that the same symbol is allocated to two candidates. With this instance, the authorities stopped polling and confirmed to resume the polling on 21st February.
Meanwhile, a tense situation prevailed at Topudhurthi village in Atmakur Mandal, Anantapur district. TDP members alleged that YSRCP members casting the votes by snatching the ballot papers from the voters. Over this, Former Minister Paritala Sunitha has filed a complaint to District SP.
