Akkineni Nagarjuna's Annapurna Studios has collaborated with the Film Heritage Foundation to conduct a workshop on film preservation and restoration. The workshop will be held in December at Annapurna Studios.
Ahead of it, Nag today hosted an event with Viacom-18, his partner. "Film preservation is a neglected area. I am ashamed that none of my 90 movies is preserved. Today, I take a stand for the preservation of my films for posterity," the 'Manmadhudu-2' actor said.
Preservation ensures that both film and film-related photographic material is made future-proof. "DVDs can get corrupted, virus can creep in and a lot of other things can happen. Preservation alone is the solution. Producers don't care to preserve their films once they sell off satellite rights," Nag said.
