Ayurveda doctor tests his luck with this week's Telugu release
'April 28 Em Jarigindi', a thriller, is all set to hit the cinemas on February 27. It stars Ranjith, a doctor by profession, in the lead.
In his latest interview, Ranjith has said that acting is his passion. "I have practised Ayurveda for 20 years. Since my father (Elchuri Venkat Rao) was a story-writer and director in the 1980s, I am heavily influenced by him. That's why I am trying my luck as an actor. If I continue to get offers in the film industry, I will continue to do films. In any case, I am a doctor first," Ranjith says.
Elchuri Venkat Rao shifted to Ayurveda after doing movies with the likes of Superstar Krishna. "I am carrying forward the legacy of my father. I have told my parents that I will never quit my profession, which is medicine. Acting is a mere passion," Ranjith adds.
He says that he writes stories keeping himself in mind. "If someone likes a story of mine, I will do it as a movie," Ranjith reveals.
