BCCI shock to franchises before IPL Auction
BCCI will hold a mini-auction for IPL 2021 in Chennai, tomorrow. However, the BCCI has introduced a new rule before the auction. The total purchase of players for each team is Rs.85 crores. Over the past few seasons, no franchise has ever fully spent the amount it has.
That is why BCCI brought this new rule. With this new rule, every franchise must be sure to spend 75% of the amount available at the franchise. Otherwise, the remaining money will go directly to the BCCI account. However, Kings XI Punjab has the highest bid of Rs 53.2 crores among the franchises.
As per the new rule, Kings XI Punjab has to spent Rs 31.7 crores.
