'Bangaru Bullodu' is all set to hit the cinemas on January 23. Given the paucity of theatres, the makers have gone in for a Saturday release. This comedy entertainer is crucial for Allari Naresh.
The comedy hero badly needs a saving hit. The 2010s were consistently bad for him, barring a few exceptions. With films like 'Silly Fellows' and 'Intlo Deyyam Nakem Bhayam', the actor had nothing exciting going for him. Even a remake like 'Meda Meeda Abbayi' flopped badly.
The 'Maharshi' actor now needs to score a solo hit in the new year. 'Bangaru Bullodu' is directed by Giri Palika, who is admittedly inspired by a real-life scandal in writing the story. Naresh plays a bank employee who rents gold ornaments secured in the bank. He falls in a soup with the entry of Ajay Ghosh, a cop. Naresh has the advantage of a solo release.
The film also stars Pooja Jhaveri, Prudhvi, Posani Krishna Murali and others.
