Central Bank of India appoints new CEO
Mattam Venkata Rao has been appointed as the new CEO and Managing Director of the Central Bank of India. So far he has been the Executive Director of Canara bank.
The bank told regulatory agencies that he would remain in the new position for three years from the date of taking reigns or until further orders, whichever comes first.
Mr Venkata Rao holds a Post Graduate Degree from Sri Venkateswara Agricultural College, Tirupati. He is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers. Since taking over as Field Officer at Allahabad Bank in 1988, he has held key positions in various parts of the country as part of his career.
