Congress CM shaken, tensed after Karnataka fiasco
Even as the Congress-JDS government in Karnataka is on the verge of a collapse, the talk is that the Congress government in Madhya Pradesh is worried.
Note that the BJP lost last year's Assembly elections in MP by a not-so-big margin. It is not too away from the half-way mark in the Assembly. As such, Amit Shah is believed to be trying to attract Congress' rebels.
"Chief Minister Kamal Nath has been talking with potential or suspected rebels. In fact, each of the Ministers has been given the responsibility of mollycoddling or being in touch with some MLAs. Surprisingly, even Rahul Gandhi is not serious about all this. Kamal Nath is on his own and he is not getting any help from the High Command," a report says.
This scenario was expected if the BJP wins a thumping majority in the Lok Sabha elections. On May 23, it won 303 seats.
