Flipkart buys Cleartrip
The leading e-commerce giant Flipkart has acquired online travel technology company ClearTrip. It today announced that it will acquire a 100 per cent stake in the company. Flipkart said it would strengthen by investing more in it.
Despite Cleartrip, which will be owned by Flipkart, will continue to be a separate brand. Even though Flipkart owns Cleartrip, the company said there was no loss to employees and that all employees would be with them.
Flipkart Group CEO, Kalyan Krishnamurthy said their investments will strengthen the Cleartrip and also help to contribute to providing wider benefits to customers.
He said that they are cordially inviting the ClearTrip team which have the industry knowledge and technical capabilities. Cleartrip Co-founder, the CEO, Stuart Krigton said “We are delighted to be part of the Flipkart family.
