Happening comedy actor Rahul Ramakrishna struck gold with 'Arjun Reddy' back in 2017. Incidentally, just two months before the film's release, his father had died.
"My father's death was a rude awakening. He had left behind debts because of his failed business plans. My parents had been living separately for 2-3 years. I had no money to carry out his burial. My true friends pooled in money and carried out everything on their own. A month after my dad's passing away, I resolved to get out of the state of poverty I was in," Rahul has said in his latest interview.
Before the short film 'Sainma' happened, he didn't know he could even act. Knowing director Tharun Bhascker, who is his childhood friend, has been a blessing. It was Tharun who introduced him to Sandeep Vanga Reddy, the 'Arjun Reddy' director. "Days before the release of 'AR', I had this premonition that the film will be a game-changer," he said.
