Kathi Mahesh's anti-Hinduism rants don't have takers
Kathi Mahesh is in the news, once again, for making "offensive" remarks.  This time, he has targeted Lord Rama by saying that the Hindu God used to have fun with mistresses.  "People will be too shocked to know such facts," he recently said at a public event, inviting police cases.

Essentially posing as a rationalist, Kathi Mahesh has made such remarks on his Facebook page as well in the past.  In 2018, the film critic was banished from Hyderabad for six months for making "provocative statements that could hurt religious sentiments".  His target has always been one religion.

Unfortunately for him, there are not many takers in the Telugu States for such rants.  Pseudo rationalists of Kathi's ilk have had their way in Tamil Nadu because of political patronage, NGO networks, etc.  A good section of people, too, accepts such ramblings as wisdom.  The Periyarist tradition, which is a perversion in the name of philosophy, is absent in the Telugu States.  As such, Kathi's rants will not find many votaries here.
