National President of BJP Yuva Morcha Tejasvi Surya on Tuesday held a political rally at the Osmania University in Hyderabad. He accused Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao of trying to prevent him and his supporters from entering the campus to pay tributes to the martyrs of the Telangana movement.
Moments after participating in the rally, the Bengaluru South MP took to Twitter and made a series of posts. "We wanted to pay respects to the Telangana movement's martyrs at Osmania University. But KCR has closed its gates. @BJYM threw open the gates & marched inside to salute Telangana's heroes. Telangana isn't a private jagir of the KCR family. It belongs to common youth & BJYM stands with them," the saffron leader, who recently challenged the TMC and Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal, tweeted.
He said that KCR can’t stop BJYM from paying respects to Telangana martyrs. "You are in power today because of the sacrifice of thousands of common students of Telangana. Please don’t forget their sacrifices! (sic)," Surya wrote.
