Mallya is now poorer by about Rs. 1000 crores
As per a statement by the MD of State Bank of India, as much as Rs. 963 crores has been recovered by auctioning Vijay Mallya's assets in India over the years.
It's also reported that 13 Indian banks are coordinating with authorities in the United Kingdom to recover "maximum out of Mallya's assets".
Only on Thursday, a UK Court ordered that seizure of Vijay Mallya’s UK assets can be had by the consortium of 13 Indian banks. This order could also pave way for the extradition of the disgraced liquor baron.
