US President Donald Trump may not have indicated whether a trade deal between India and the US will come to fruition, but Narendra Modi has sounded optimistic about the Potus' visit to India on February 24 and 25.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, the Prime Minister said, "Extremely delighted that Trump and FLOTUS (Melania Trump) will visit India on 24th and 25th February. India will accord a memorable welcome to our esteemed guests. This visit is a very special one and it will go a long way in further cementing India-USA friendship. India and the US share a common commitment to democracy and pluralism. Our nations are cooperating extensively on a wide range of issues. Robust friendship between our nations augurs well not only for our citizens but also for the entire world."
Earlier, Trump had said that millions of people will welcome him in Ahmedabad. It's not clear whether he was joking or serious.
