'Oh Baby' writer wrote it with fear of Censor Board
Lakshmi Bhupal, the dialogue writer of 'Oh Baby', has opened up on a particular line in the movie. When Naga Shaurya's character is mistaken by Samantha Akkineni's character as an eve-teaser, the latter says something hard-hitting: 'Molathaduki, mokaluki madhya kovvu perigipoyi kottukuntunnavu'.
What she means to say is not difficult to comprehend. "I wrote the bold line because I am saddened by the rapes in our society. Even infant girls are not safe," says the writer.
He goes on to add that that the original version of the line was bolder. "I dumbed it down so that it passes through the scissors of the Censor Board," Lakshmi Bhupal says.
The writer says that he has got 24 stories with him. "I am not going to give six of these to any director," he reveals, suggesting that he might turn a director one day.
