Pawan Kalyan on Thursday said that the new citizenship law has nothing against Indian Muslims. He said that myths have been spread against it when it doesn't take away the citizenship of any Indian citizen.
"Narendra Modi ji is only implementing what was desired by Gandhi ji, Nehru and others. It was their wish that the persecuted minorities of Pakistan be provided citizenship by India," the Jana Sena chief said, briefly mentioning about the Nehru-Liaquat Pact and Jan Sangh leader Shyam Prasad Mukherjee's views on the issue.
Pawan also touched upon the atrocities committed on Hindu and other minorities in Pakistan and Bangladesh. He quoted the example of Danish Kaneria, a former Pakistani Hindu cricketer, who recently complained of discrimination in his team on account of his religion.
