Rain holiday in Mumbai
Mumbai is witnessing the record rainfall in the history only in just two days. With heavy rainfall, all the areas in the city are clogged with rainwater. Railway tracks, bus stations submerged.
As per IMDUpdates close to 200 mm or more rain per day is likely between July 3 and 5, which is the highest in a decade. 550 mm average of the entire month of June has been exceeded in just last 48 hrs.
Because of heavy clogging of rainwater, today is declared as a holiday in Mumbai. These days, life in India is unpredictable due to climate.
Earlier, the Delhi government has declared heat holidays for schools. Just recently, Corporate companies in Chennai ordered their employees to work from home due to the water crisis in the city. Now, due to excessive rainfall, a holiday declared in Mumbai.
