Ramdev launches SIM for welfare, charity
Yes, Baba Ramdev has launched a mobile SIM card through his company Patanjali, which has partnered with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in rolling out the product.
Aptly called Swadeshi Samriddhi SIM card, this is meant to abide by Ramdev's creed of 'Prosperity for Charity'. To be launched pan-India at a future date (not yet decided), the SIM card will offer benefits such as unlimited calls, 2 GB data pack, and 100 SMSs for Rs 144.
Baba Ramdev has also come up with a medical insurance cover of up to Rs 2.5 lakh and a life insurance benefit of Rs 5 lakh as associated benefits for those who buy the SIM.
